Inheritance Law

Inheritance law is the branch of civil law that regulates the legal relations of
natural persons after their death and in particular the fate of their property. These
legal relations can be regulated either by a will (testament) or directly by law
(intestate succession). Inheritance law also determines the relations between the
heirs when there are disputes. Also, according to the Greek law legal heirs are
liable for inheritance debts even if they live abroad. In case of an inheritance that
has debts, legal assistance is absolutely necessary in order to avoid a tacit
acceptance of inheritance.

We offer services to international clients on the following subjects:

 Probate of wills.
 Issuing of certificates of inheritance.
 Acceptance or renunciation of inheritance.
 Acceptance of inheritance with the benefit of inventory.
 Legal actions in case of deprivation of a forced heir of the inheritance.
 Legal actions for the partition of the common inheritance.
 Actions to nullify a tacit acceptance of inheritance.
